I've been up and down on the scale lately, and though over the years of Sparking I've grown a bunch of healthy habits, I have been sliding into some poor habits lately, mostly night snacking.
Knowing that "willpower" will not break this habit, I realized that I need to change my environment in order to get a handle on this one. So this weekend when I did my weekly shopping, I skipped those center aisles I was getting into a habit of going in, and really stuck to shopping the produce, meat and dairy sections. Having a selection of whole foods around and paring out the processed "snacks" should be a big help in conquering this habit I've fallen into.
And I can also work on creating a substitute, since I'm not snacking out of hunger, boredom or other emotions, at this point I think it's just become "reward" at the end of the day. I need some non-food rewards that will feel satisfying!
