Mundane Monday

Tuesday, August 14, 2018

Monday was a regular week day, all the younger ones off to school and college and the older ones at work.
My Husband Hamid too goes in to office for 3 to hours in the morning every day - 4 days a week and enjoys a long 3 day week end.
I spent a relaxing morning did my stretches and chair exercises with my day nurse (Despite having 2 live-in helpers, my sons insist that they keep a day nurse for me, to help me with my bathing, changing, escorting me to the bathroom due to my mobility issues, they don't want to leave me alone at all), in the nights Hamid is there and the 2 live-ins take turns to sleep just outside my room to help if needed in the night, which is at least twice every night.
I made a simple dal (yellow lentils with tomatoes and cilantro) and my D-i-L #3 sent us some sautéed carrots and a salad. That was lunch and dinner for both of us. Hamid also had some grilled chicken for lunch and a bottle gourd curry for dinner.

However managed only about 3000 steps yesterday as I had terrible pain in my legs, and then in the evening when I was just stepping out, our niece dropped in to visit with us, She lives in Bombay (Mumbai is the new name) and was here for a brief visit to see her ailing mother-in-law. So she returns tomorrow so I had to cancel my walking plans as she left only by 6 and it was time for my nurse to leave and my 2 girls to get busy with getting dinner ready for us.

Hamid and I normally finish dinner by 7:30 and Hamid leaves for the mosque for the night prayer and I tidy up for the night and 9:00 pm is the night medicine time and we normally retire by 9:30 / 10:00 once all our children come and see us.

So that was my Monday for you
