#485 We are here.

Sunday, August 12, 2018

Arrived mid afternoon at the TeePee campground. Camping with the RV Enthuiasts team. There are 5 campers together and one couple that has flown in form CA. We are from IA, CA, MI, IL and MN/TX

I add the TX to us as we are still on our way back to MN. from our winter home in TX. After this week long rally, we will be heading back to our MN. home. My DH was there in June but I was not able to go up with him. So, not having been in the house for a couple yrs. (for me) I am anxious to see it and put it back together. We had our son and family living there last yr. while he was having a new home built. With our furniture and theirs, it was a very full house. Hope to do a little updating while there and before heading back to TX. for the winter. It has been a very full spring and summer. Time to enjoy!

Tomorrow we will be planning what we would like to do as a group. One thing is definite, going over to the island where are no motorized vehicles besides the fire truck. You walk, ride bike or try out the horse and carriage. We will be ferried across. We have been here 3 times before and the ferry people tell you the time of the last ferry back and if you miss it, you on't be able to get back to the mainland until the next day. So we are timely.

There are several things to do here and we will be chatting about them. The MacKinaw bridge is right by us and it's a 5 mile drive over to the upper part or as they call it, the upper (youper) At the Canada/US border are the Soo Locks and ships 1,000 feet long max, go through the locks to get to the great lake of Superior or coming back from there.

Will keep you in the know a the days go on. Hope you are going to have a great week! We plan on it!

Thanks for stopping by. emoticon emoticon emoticon
