Week 1

I started this journey last Monday. It’s been almost a week and I’d say I’ve done pretty well. I had a really great start, staying within my calories and getting more exercises in. I noticed pounds coming off daily! Now I know it’s not realistic to expect a loss every day, so my focus is on a weekly weight loss and inches lost. I’m proud of myself! I went for a bike ride, started a kettlebell routine, do yoga and a daily meditation. I’ve been tracking just about everything (to be honest I don’t track my two tsp of sugar for my tea or any slight ketchup I may add to a meal), and drinking my water! I’m hoping tomorrow’s weigh in will show my efforts, but more importantly I FEEL successful. I know it’s only week one and lord knows I’ve been on this roller coaster before, but this time feels different. I haven’t counted calories in decades! Most of my weight loss journey has been with weight watchers, but I get easily bored and irritated counting points that are meaningless to me (I like to see my proteins fats and carbs spelled out for me), so it’s been eye opening. One thing I’ve learned this week would be that I CAN survive on fewer calories! I’m not hungry, I crave less (depending on the day), and I’m not as obsessed as I once was to find to the perfect meal, recipe, workout routine etc. I just eat healthy until I’m full and I exercise by doing things I enjoy. Wish me luck at weigh in tomorrow! 😊

It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it. And remember you didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight. It takes time, determination, motivation and support. You can get it all right here!
