I should have a "talk" with myself more often... a think session .. because yesterday was a good day .. I realized that I'm winging it way too often, and winging it does not help in my mission .. I told hubby that I've been going to hard again, and he looked at me like I grew a 2nd head .. I'm not like him, where he can just go go go .. I can NOT start projects at 2 in the afternoon when we have been getting home .. by that time I'm pretty much finished .. however; that's what has been happening .. so I feel like I'm running in circles just trying to keep up with what I need to and trying to keep up with hubby ..
I'm glad I said something because whether or not it was intentional; I have the day to myself today .. hubby has a dentist appointment this morning, and then meeting up with his friend, and going golfing .. and then out afterward ... so I have the day to myself .. until 6:00 when I have to work the dugout.. :) YAY !!!!
Now .... what am I going to do .. that is the question .. I have so many things I want to do; I don't know where to start .. I want to start sorting through my material for my puppy club quilt .. I asked mom if I could use her playroom the day that I'm helping her with her card party .. so I can cut up my quilt spares .. and she said it wouldn't be a problem .. I could probably get involved in doing a puzzle, but that is alot of sitting, and my legs would fight back .. so this way I'd be up and moving a bit .. :) Sooo I want to sort through my material, and pull out any of my puppy patterned material, run it through the laundry to do any shrinking needed and then I'll be able to start getting a pattern together in my head ..:)
I want to get out for a walk today .. since it's supposed to be a beautiful day here in SE Wisconsin .. :)
I work the dugout tonight .. and it's going to be a long night .. Won't be done until after 9 and then it's an hour drive home .. after stopping at the bank to drop off our $20 deposit .. lol .. (slow making it a longer night .. lol)
So .. I'm looking forward to a busy day ..
Yesterday -- I got my head screwed on better .. surprising what giving myself a "talk" can do .. lol
Hubby and I took separate cars down to the casino downtown, and it was nice, because I could leave when I was "done" .. and I still had money left when I was "done" .. :) I headed home .. I got home about 1:30 .. and had myself some lunch .. and then sat .. because I was planning on going to the local mall to take a walk for an hour around it, so I was resting my feet .. and got up to get ready for dinner at around 2:30ish .. and left at 3:30 .. :)
We changed from PF Changs to Maggianos .. and I was all for that... I told Wendy that I really didn't care .. I went out for the enjoyment of the company!! Plus .. that meant my dinner was free .. :) because I had a gift card from Leonard from my retirement party .. :) so it cost me my tip .. :) I wasn't too enthused with PF Changs last time, and I guess a coupe of the girls had gone there recently and it wasn't good at all .. Last time we were there, I had the tofu vegetable dish, and well -- my veggies were almost raw, and they were not cut bite size at all .. so I wasn't too excited; and I was happy when they changed ..
Instead of chinese, I enjoyed every bite of my Chopped salad with shrimp ..YUM YUM ... That's my favorite meal there .. :)
So -- my eats for yesterday.. were ...
Breakfast: Greek yogurt and blueberries (on the run out the door)
Lunch: 1 cup of oatmeal
plain greek yogurt
layered for a parfait
Maggianos chopped salad with "crispy prosciutto, tomatoes, blue cheese, avacado (plus Kathy's avacodo) annd house dressing with shrimp
Bread dipped in olive oil
Glass of wine
But .. I also was proud of my plans, because I ended up with 9634 steps for the day, and got 50 minutes of walking before dinner .. :) Enough time prior to meeting my friends to find a bench and stop "glistening" .. lol lol ..
I'm happy with my day yesterday .. I love my happy hubby with all my heart, but trying to keep up with him really messes me up .. lol lol .. I become very unfocused .. and well -- my goals kind of go by the wayside .. lol lol .. So I'm proud of myself for yesterday .. and I plan on having a good day today .. If I mess up I will be the only one to blame .. :)

Thank you for the prayers for my friend, Linda's brother .. Last week I posted that he was in a hit and run motorcycle accident, and was in ICU (no he wasn't wearing a helmit) .. the prognosis was not good. He was in a coma; and the doctors had warned the family that while there was going to be a long rehab; IF he came out of the coma, he may not remember them ..
Well -- I haven't talked with Linda, but have been following their family on FB .. and read, that David is awake, and KNOWS his family .. While there is still a long road in front of him, I'm taking this as wonderful news !!! Thank you for the prayers, and hope your prayers continue for him .. Thank you !!
I've always heard people say that "prayer is something that people can do when they have no other choice .... " but (without turning into a religious conversation) .. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and want to thank you for all the prayers that you have sent to the recoveries of David .. :)
Today will be a day of focus .. I wish you a wonderful day .. I'm going to have one !!!!
