My doctor wants ME to tell my husband to lose weight!

Is it a cultural issue? She told him his “ test results were good” but when she saw ME she told me he “needed to lose his visceral fat (tummy) and lose weight. His cholesterol’s “ are artificially looking good because he’s on statins.” What do we do? She’s close, convenient, and no waiting room time...but I’ve tried talking to my beloved...

    Nothing good is ever going to come of that. I understand that your doctor may feel that you have more influence over your husband, but I sure do hope that she did her job properly and explained everything to him.
    He's a grown man who doesn't need his "mommy" telling him to lose weight.

    I think that doctors have a tough time with he weight issue. They don't say anything because they don't want to lose sensitive patients. I am so glad that my doctor told me to lose weight the last time I saw her.
    She recommended a nutritionist, but I never appointed, deciding to do Weight Watchers instead. I am happy that my doctor did her job, and spoke the truth. It's not about my feelings.
