July review and August goals

My first goal for July was to exercise at least ten minutes a day. My second goal was to do cardio at least 5 days a week, and to do yoga and strength training at least 3 days a week each. My third goal was to take a walk at a park at least three times. I met all three goals! After being very unmotivated in June, I got my motivation back in July. One thing I did that helped was that most days I exercised first thing in the morning. Another thing I did that helped was to plan out all my exercise for the entire month on July 1st. I got a calendar and wrote down what days I would do cardio, what days I would do yoga, and what days I would do strength training. I didn’t follow the plan exactly, but I came close.
My first two goals for August will be the same as July. I want to exercise at least ten minutes a day, and I want to do cardio at least 5 days a week, plus yoga and strength training at least 3 days a week each. For my third goal I want to complete SparkPeople’s 28-Day Home Workout Challenge. I signed up for it on the first. It is a mixture of cardio and strength training, and it will give me some variety in my workouts. My fourth goal is to work on doing push-ups. I read a SparkPeople article that explained how you could progress from wall push-ups to regular push-ups. This is what it says: “Perform incline pushups on a set of stairs. Stand at the landing and place your hands on the fourth or fifth step in front of you, and assume the pushup position with your legs straight. When you can do 2-3 sets of 10-12 repetitions on that step, then progress by moving to the next step down. Continue to "walk" down the steps over time as you get stronger. Once you can do about 10 pushups on the first step, you're ready for the real thing!” I am currently working on doing the push-ups on the fifth step.
Here are some pictures from the three parks where I walked in July.
