What does 100 lbs look like?
Friday, August 03, 2018
As I've been recovering from my yellow jacket incident and kidney stones, I've had a lot of time to just "think", and one of the things that I've really thought about is "how much does 100 lbs weigh"? I mean, think about it. I cannot actually just pick up and carry around a 100 lb object like it is nothing on a whim, yet here I am doing it each and everyday.
Kind of makes you think, right?
So, I wanted to get a mental picture of what things weigh.
I weight 257 lbs right now. This hog weighs pretty close to that.
And the fact that I would like to lose 100 lbs means that I'm carrying what equates to the size of a 2 month old filly. And I can tell you with the fillies we've had born to the farms in our family, they are not exactly the easiest to lug around.
Even something as simple as 25 lbs (which is equivalent to an average 2 year old) is not exactly thrilling to be carried around each moment of the day.
All I know is that I'm done and over with lugging this much weight around. I just want to be rid of it and start feeling like living again. I mean, no wonder I'm out of breath all of the time! This is what 100 lbs of fat looks like!
