Day 5: 157.6

I survived a short vacation up north this week. At lunch, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with no fries. (I did eat some of my husband's fries, but at least it wasn't a full order.) I turned down snacks in the afternoon, ate a grilled cheeseburger with watermelon and baked beans for dinner, and for breakfast I limited myself to 3 pancakes instead of making it an all-you-can-eat pancake buffet. Good decisions, yet I had to be very conscious of every single one.

It's the fifth day since my doctor's appointment, and I'm down one pound. It seems like I'm losing .4 pound each day that I make good decisions. If this continues (and allow me to dream) here is what my weight might look like:

August 10: 155
August 20: 151
August 30: 147

Okay, that seems like a lot. Surely, the loss will slow down. Here is a realistic view of where I'd like to be:

August 10: 155
August 20: 152
August 30: 150

Jeez, that would mean that I would fit into my work pants just in time for the first day of school! Oh, I've got to keep my eye on the prize!!
