Chapter 29, Day 7

Although Spark and other resources recommend it, I've never done a vision board. Have you?
Today, I got as close as I probably will ever come to that by putting the following on my fridge to read as I begin each day.

Read. Read again. Read again for as long as it takes for it to sink in. To understand. To focus. To believe.

I woke up one day, after 2800 days of yo-yo dieting, took a hard look at myself and just said, "enough, already, this is it."

( The sting of a reflection of my body image on a store front window as I passed by it pricks my conscious and I recall the horror of the moment. When did this happen? How did I let this happen? Is the glass distorting my image, like a mirror in a fun house that stretches your body image sideways? Storefront after storefront. Same. Same. Same. I NEVER want to see that again. EVER. )

I'm doing the math: 5 months @ 5# month loss = goal weight.

Definitely doable. Achievable. Realistic. Reasonable. Sensible. Possible.

Go for the Gold. One day. THIS day.

CAN DOs
Go for the Gold

It will be extra challenging today. My "to do" list was tight already for the day, fitting in a walk with client deliverables and getting my own business records ready for tax preparation. With this challenge the only sane thing left to do was cancel on plans with my sis, who was taking me out for the day for my birthday for lunch, a movie, and some fun sis time. Then, granddaughter's sitter cancelled for today from morning sickness. Of course, I will sit granddaughter, that's what grandmothers do if they can. Somehow, I'll manage. (Self: convince!) I'LL FIGURE IT OUT. PLAN B.

Still.....

GO FOR THE GOLD

It's going to happen. Everything is going to happen today that needs to happen.

    I have notes and pictures above my computer and the one pictures that shows me heavy, so I guess kinda like a vision board. Good to put that where you can see it as a reminder.
    Aww, sad if you cancel with your Sister for your birthday outing. Happiness is a big part of our health plan. I hope you get that walk in, but you know you don't have to do exercise all at once, just getting up and moving for 10 minutes is good. Every hour or so, 10 minutes of something. I do that sometimes, run in place, stretches. Jump on the bike for 10 minutes at a time It adds up and gives you a workout. Have a beautiful first day of August my friend. emoticon
