Beck Diet Solution, Day 7

Tuesday, July 31, 2018

Change your environment at home and at work. I tell my hubby that he has to keep his stash hidden from me. He now has a designated spot to put his stuff. I no longer tell him that I am attempting to stop eating junk food. The last time I did that he put his stash in my spot. Plus, he encourages me to buy the stuff. So, to change my environment, I guess I need to get a new hubby - emoticon

I will also not buy big bags of chips or cookies; that way there won't be any left over to tempt me. Plus I cannot stop myself whenever I open a bag, so if it's a small bag I won't binge by eating way more than I ought.

I am thinking also that if I do want to eat junk food, not to buy it but make it at home. That way it will become inconvenient to eat it.

Your definition of junk food interests me. I never buy cookies, but I will make them even late at night when the craving strikes. If it's homemade with old-fashioned ingredients like butter, I simply cannot consider it junk food: fattening, yes, high-calorie, yes, high cholesterol, yes, high in added sugars, yes, addictive, yes, but "junk" never! emoticon emoticon
