Total Knee Replacement

Tuesday, July 31, 2018

I just got home from 3 days in hospital and 7 days in rehab after surgery to replace my left knee.
It's so good to be home again and able to get back to Sparkpeople. I tried very hard to eat healthy while I was away from home and got lots of exercise in physical therapy. It will be interesting to weigh myself in the morning and see whether I gained, lost , or stayed at goal.
What ever the scale says, I know that my clothes still fit me just the same and I'm feeling great.
Mu husband and daughter came to see me each day and kept my morale up. I'm very grateful for successful surgery and am now walking with a walker until I build up my strength with outpatient physical therapy and can graduate to a cane. It's so good to be back in my Sparkpeople routine.

Great work! Knee surgery is a harder one to rehab from. Keep up the good work and keep getting stronger 💪💪

Welcome back! No vacation, having surgery, but can be disruptive to routines. Good for you trying your best to make healthy choices for food during that time you had less control over the menu! Ease back in to your healthy routines as you adjust to your "new" body part!

Is it good to read that you had a good knee replacement and therapy was good. I've had to knee replacement one in each need the key is moving exercising and just going back to yourself and hospital food wasn't the greatest so I'm sure you be okay

I hope your knee heals well and you can get back to your normal activities. I had my right knee replaced four months ago and it feels so good to be able to move without the pain that I had before surgery.
