Good morning to my friends ... old and new.. that stop by for a visit .. WELCOME !!!! You know the drill .. I supply the snacks, and you enjoy them to your hearts content .. remember .. magic home -- no fat, no carbs, and no calories .. and all of the flavor and taste you can imagine !!! I made up coffee, hot cocoa, and hot tea .. all of which can be chilled if you prefer !! :) Help yourself and welcome !! :)

We also have iced for a selection of fresh iced drinks ...

It's now been a month, and I still haven't totally gotten used to the Monday off syndrome .. lol lol .. It still feels funny to be planning things to do other than work .. my "vacation" is over as far as my brain is concerned, and well -- it just feels wierd .. lol

Rohroh .. Sally's got a case of writers block again .. lol .. This is what happens when I start to work on a plan, and have to talk at the same time .. It doesn't work .. :)

With the exception of ice cream my eating was pretty good .. (a weekend .. loosen up) .. and I'm thinking of "lower" carb, and save any higher carb things for the weekend, as I do with my ice cream .. Don't know how this will work with my new lifestyle .. and hubby's schedule .. unless I allow myself 1 carby meal (within reason) a day; and keep the rest lower .. try and stay with simple carbs .. (fruits and vegetables); and save the complex carbs for weekends .. or is it the other way around .. complex are fruits and veggies, and simple carbs are bad ..

Okay -- note to self .. gotta do more reading my book !!! I know I can do this, but well -- it's been awhile .. I remembered I had bread, pototoes, and starches seldom ... I WAS allowed them, just not on a daily basis .. I was allowed fruit and yogurt, which was not allowed in the Atkins program... so this plan wasn't as stringent .. and the "removal" of foods was more my wishes .. I stopped craving them after a while ..

Now I have less structured "food" days, and so it will take a bit more discipline .. but I think it's doable..

My eats yesterday consisted of ...

breakfast: 5 crepes, with syrup .. (okay -- I put alot of work in my crepes having fun; I'm not throwing them out .. lol)

lunch: 2 ears of corn on the cob .. YUM !!!
and a Klondike bar .. Dark chocolate

dinner: pork quesidea from Pottowatomi
and a bowl of ice cream with caramel sauce ..

I didn't eat much, but last night I had an upset belly again .. I felt like my belly was going to pop .. I tried taking a probiotic before bed, and slept on my belly; and this morning it feels fine .. :) The way it was feeling I was afraid of some mega IBS this morning, but the probiotic did it's job .. :)

I had a good time over by mom's yesterday .. and we played puzzle .. it was a tough one .. grrrrr .. lol .. but we played with it .. I built 2 houses .. lol ..

On the way home I got hit with a mega rainstorm .. I had my wipers on hard, and all I could see is the lines on the drivers side of the road .. so I followed them .. thankfully it was short lived. By the time I got to the exit I was going to take .. the rain stopped as fast as it hit ..

I had a quiet night .. I had had plans of going on a short walk, but after the rain, and the dark cloud was just to the west .. I didn't want to get stuck in the rain; and well .. didn't go ..

NOW ...

Today is a new day .. I plan on playing with my cards this morning, and while hubby is out with mom this afternoon, I am planning on getting out for a walk while they're gone .. I'll have to figure out if it will be in a park around here, or if it will be at a mall .. only the weather knows ..

I can be focused on my activities since he will be gone this afternoon .. I am happy with myself, as I haven't been eating BETWEEN meals .. so that's a step in the right direction ..

With that being said .. I'm doing alot of thinking, and well -- can't seem to talk and think at the same time .. lol ... sooooo I hope everyone has a great day !!! I think by tomorrow my "chatter" will be turned back on .. hopefully .. lol ..

    It is hard to have less structure in our eating plans. I have been making a big effort to eat breakfast since I retired. I always ate it when I was working. Now that I'm not working most days I don't eat till 12-1 pm.
    I know that's not good for me but I'm not usually hungry in the morning. But I am working on it.

    HEE HEE – yes, it’s the other way ‘round. Complex carbs – fruits, veggies, legumes, beans Simple carbs – the “white stuff” -- white potato, white rice, white bread, processed foods. Glad you got your fussy belly settled.

    Yes, having unstructured food days is usually a disaster on a stick for me. I like planning.

    Really??? You had rain yesterday??? We had nary a drop! Go figure.

    Glad you had a good time w/your Mom. Mommy time is always the best.

    You will figure it out with time. It is a strange feeling though, especially (for me) Sunday evenings. I still want to start geting ready for work on Monday morning.
