I am having a very productive day so far. I rose, tested my FBS, showered and went downstairs to wrap the Christmas gifts. All finished! It is a biggie to get them done so we may take them on vacation. I am so happy that all of my wrapping things are all organized in one huge tub, and my Christmas card items are in a smaller one as well.
Connie e-mailed me to let me know that they are not going to be able to be home when we get there. The boys have appointments with the specialists in Escanaba that day. They were made six months ago and cannot be cancelled. We will just leave the bag on the porch and be sad that we missed them this year.
We will visit some of the hundreds of waterfalls around Munising and Grand Marais, then get one of the best pizzas I ever ate at Main Street pizza in downtown Munising. It is just a little hole in the wall place in a tiny, small town that has one traffic light, but they know how to do it, and I am VERY picky about my food in a restaurant.

Today I am doing some sewing, then we are going to go over our list and start to re-pack the supply tub for vacation. We are going to have to be very creative to fit a bag of charcoal, bags of old newspapers(fire-starters), a big trash bag filled with Christmas gifts, a huge cooler, the camera case, my c-pap machine case, binoculars, two very big rolling suitcases, camp chairs, beach bags, filled, duffel bags, purses, pillows, towels(cabins do not supply them), personal cooler, and spare shoes, sandals in case they get wet.
This is in my LaCrosse, but we have a tried-and-true method to fit it all in(a shoe horn and olive oil, haha).
The return trip is much easier, since we have delivered the big black trash bag of gifts, used some charcoal, all of the food in the coolers, newspapers.
We are getting excited now..
