We finally got some rain yesterday. IT lasted for about fifteen minutes! That is the longest rain we have had in months.
This morning we went to the annual library book sale. We filled a giant banana box for $3. Almost all hard cover books, two 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles.
I found two books I really wanted. One is "The Prophet by Gibran. I actually received it for a wedding gift from my oldest friend, but it was ruined in the flooding. I was thrilled. The other book is "Pizza Tiger" by Tom Monaghan. I read it when it was first published and ironically, checked it out of our library. It is such a great story that I bought it. Most people do not have any idea of how he founded Dominos. They also probably do not realize that he built a church in a foreign country for those who could not afford one.

The ironic thing about this story is, I used to love HIS pizza, but within a month or so of his sale, they changed the sauce, making it so spicy and hot, that we could not tolerate it. For Mexican culture, you would think it would be okay, but ick. We never bought another one after being burned, literally, with that new recipe.

We will be taking those Christmas gifts to the Upper Peninsula,(U.P.) next month and dropping them off for their Christmas Eve debut.
