Dan was here to repair the A/C right after his lunch break! It took 15 minutes to replace the part. I truly thought I would have to replace the entire system, even though it is only ten years old. Amen!
Thank goodness for A/C! Seriously...I would NOT be living in FL without it! The summers are getting hotter and hotter and the weather patterns are getting more and more volatile. Makes me think about my beloved state after living here some 40years! I also worry about the water supply since everywhere you look more and more new houses are going up. Where is all the water going to come from to supply all of these new households?
Of course, everyone wants to live in a beautiful state and we can't very well roll up the streets and say no one else is welcome being transplanted ourselves.
But as you mentioned on the Babcock Ranch blog I wrote about we are driving out our wildlife and we are ruining our virgin land. The good thing about that space is that some 78,000 acres are protected by the Babcock trust and I hope the idiots in the state capital honor that agreement. That corridor is also very valuable for the water flow north/south so it needs to remain pristine.
I do love the fact that the whole city is solar powered so at least it doesn't have electromagnetic smog with underground electric or overhead towers. I'd have to research more but I really think solar is pretty clean.
Thanks for your always insightful thoughts on my blogs dear friend! 28 days ago
