The delivery guy will be calling me today to set up a time for my chair delivery. Hopefully, it will be tomorrow. One more box checked off for things to change around here.
This morning the guys across the street came to trek through the forest of a yard over there. The weeds and grass are growing OVER THE TOP OF THE STOCKADE FENCE! They finally dismantled a fort/tree house in the back yard, along with an entire dumpster filled with trash from OUTDOORs in the back yard. These people must have just heaved their trash outside instead of putting it in a trash can. They did send about three huge trash cans out to the street every week for pickup, but everything else they must have just heaved out the back patio door! There used to be a beautiful deck, spa, patio furniture and umbrella out there when they moved in.
The workers started out with actual machetes to carve a path to get INTO the back yard. They then used a scythe, then I saw a brush hog and lawn mower get pushed back there. I have not heard any loud noise in the past hour, I hope they did not get lost back there! The yard is a small one, maybe large enough to fit a 1,600 sf home.
They have half-filled the third dumpster already. The people that left started hauling things out MONTHS before they were evicted. I mean trucks, vans, U-Hauls full of stuff.
Wow, what a mess. I think this guy that bought the house at auction, is a flipper. I hope he can restore it to its' former self.
I am glad I am able to do some updates to my home.

Oh good news on a messy neighbor leaving. One good thing about our little development...they have rules so that cars can't be parked on the streets and junk can't accumulate in the yards. Some of the places up in N. Carolina had old broken washers and dryers and all kinds of junk cars sitting in their yards.

Such an eyesore in such a beautiful place but some people have no consideration for tidiness. One of my pet peeves! I'm ALWAYS putting things back where they belong. My only BAD habit is my oversupply of books and magazines...I have a hard time turning them loose. But I'm going to start putting some of my books on Amazon...I just have TOO many! emoticon Someone else can enjoy them now.

OMG, That will make your block so much better, just hope no one gets lost back there or that they don't ruin there equipment when Bush Hog thru that mess., I don't know how people can live in such mess. As we drive through the country we see many farm stead that have been neglected for years, and I don't know how they live in all that. Larry and I work all the time keep our place clean, one reason Larry hates to have tractors and farm equipment on the yard. Everything has place. Did you get a lift chair, or a new recliner. I need to look into get a new recliner, as the one I sit in was Larrys mom's and she has been gone 5 years, and I don't know how many years they had it. probably back when they moved off the farm and into town back in the 80's, so that chair has had a lot of butt time. lol Enjoy that new seat.

I thought that perhaps they had to trek through the high grass to make sure nothing would damage the bush hog and lawn mower of be thrown from the blades of either one.

Flippers can do amazing things. I like to read about your home improvements.
