Good morning one and all. If you remember from any of my other blogs since March 29th when my dear brother-in-law Bobby passed away we suspected he was murdered by the woman he had met 36 days prior to his death. Especially since he died 2 days after signing everything he had over to her (retirement, $400,000, 10 acres of land, $200,000 dollar house, and anything else that is on the property). I am happy to say the will hearing that was supposed to have been held July 10, was postponed until Sept 3 pending criminal investigation. I would hope the two letters from my daughter and myself written not even a week before the hearing swayed the judge to post pone until the toxicology report came back,

The report is back in. It was not what we expected but there are so many unanswered questions yet. It seems the only thing they could find in my btr-in-law's system was Ambien. Ambien is a sleep med and only prescribed by a doctor. It can be fatal. But they are saying there was not enough in his system to be fatal, but Ambien can also be absorbed quickly. So....unanswered questions are:

1.) If Bobby was not on any medication at all, where did he get it?
2.) Who was the medication really prescribed to (was it Carol?)
3.) Carol told me that she gave Bobby's medication bottles to either the funeral home or the detective (she said she can't remember which and did not have a list of his meds) along with the pharmacist information where he got his meds.
4.) April (his RN nurse who was at the scene) was informed by the Chief of Police for Bear Creek, AL and the private investigator there were no meds in the house upon their arrival on the scene.
5.) The first doctor's apt that Bobby was to have scheduled since he got to Alabama almost 2 years ago was scheduled until April 5th. he passed on Mar 29.

Bobby and Connie Cole

As you can see we have questions; still. My heart says she murdered him and masked it somehow. I just can't accept the fact that he died from a heart attack; especially since we found out he died around noon and she didn't report his being unresponsive until 7:00 pm that night but yet she said she woke up up around 5pm to go to the store. And the initial coroner's report stated he did not die of natural causes.

Sorry guys to bring this all down on ya. You've been through this journey with me. I want justice for Bobby. He was a dear man who didn't deserve to die at the hands of someone he only knew for 36 days.

Have a great day, thank you for hearing me out. Any ideas on the situation would be much appreciated. It's hard to feel like a rock when you feel more like putty.

My grandmother told me when you lie, you always have to remember what you said. But, You tell the truth you do not have to worry because it will always come out the truth.
The more she lies, the more she has to remember what she lied about! The longer she does this, her memory of what she lied about will trip her up there will be questions questions regarding her story. Lies will trip yourself up and she will be found guilty! And remember, she has motive.
Stay strong in your faith, and know that Jan and I have your back!! ( We will continue praying and praising the Lord that truth is revealed). emoticon

Don't be sorry for posting this Donna! I had been thinking and wondering as I follow anything you
have to say, as your friend! …:::This STINKS to HIGH HEAVEN …….. and WTH??? She did NOT BOTHER to call 911 or notify anyone until 7:00???!!!! …. Thank the Good Lord this has been postponed by the Judge and this woman is lying like a RUG!! emoticon and just HOW can she say she does NOT remember who she gave the bottles to?? ……. IF there is NO record of him being prescribed Ambien, (which there would be! with his physicians AND his pharmacy, then this woman overdosed him!! Years ago, I took Ambien and one day I got called by the Nurse saying, I could not continue with this med as it is "HIGH RISK" was her exact words!!! … Ambien is a dangerous drug and though I hate to admit this: My husband caught me in the middle of the night spooning big chunks of peanut butter from a jar and I to this day don't remember it!!) … Just a thought on this med but it is obvious HE did not himself get prescribed the medication! … Oh my dear, my prayers are with you for TRUTH and incriminating evidence to come forth!! SHE CERTAINLY HAD MOTIVE!!!!! …LOVE you my friend!!! emoticon

Sorry to read about this! Sure sounds suspicious to me too. It's very unfortunate, but true, situations like this do exist. I think it would be wise to look at her past to. May find something there. Sure hope justice is served for your family 🤗

Wish I could offer some suggestions, without drugs in his system, it is going to be hard to prove anything. Hopefully the attorney will find something. I would be so frustrated as you are in this situation.

Is there anyone else in her past that left their estate to her? How has she been supporting herself before meeting him?

Lord above. Carol has memory problem, eh. Hmmmm . . . I think *I* would remember giving prescription bottles to a detective (vs. the funeral director) because I’d be quaking in my boots giving them to a detective! Just me.

And ‘scuse me . . . she woke up around 5 pm and waited til 7b pm to report him unresponsive! That certainly is outside the bounds of reasonable action to me.

All this you already know, I KNOW. I am so sorry that you still have so many unanswered questions. I am glad you are able to blog about it to at least get some of your feelings out. You have my hugs and prayers.

Found this side affect in almost all the lit I read on Ambien and it stood out -- only 1% chance, but could this have been something that happened to your brother? Arrythmia is the one that really stands out. Of course, ventricular tachycardia (irregular beats of the lower chamber of the heart, responsible for perfusing the body with oxygenated blood) is one arrythmia that is associated w/heart attacks. Just some thoughts.

Rare (less than 0.1%): Flushing, hypotension, hot flashes, angina pectoris, arrhythmia, arteritis, circulatory failure, extrasystoles, aggravated hypertension, myocardial infarction, phlebitis, varicose veins, ventricular tachycardia[Ref]
