My Exercise of Choice

The experts here at Sparkpeople are always telling us that the BEST exercise is the one you enjoy doing, and I have to admit that I concur...

No matter HOW compelled I feel, I can always find something else to do rather than an exercise regime that I don't enjoy...

This morning for example was a hard one for me... I hadn't slept well, and I had had a long week with quite a bit of walking.... AND my first mile swim this summer on Wednesday... Ithadbeen 2 days and I was eager to get back into the water, even though I had limited time available, but I told myself I HAD to go even though I was tired.

"Just do 15 minutes," I told myself... "And after that you can quit."

So I drove down to the pool in the park.

21 laps later (almost 0.6 mile) I was relaxed and could have kept on for at least another 40 minutes...

And I am SO glad Ive found the one activity that I really enjoy... It feels so good!
