God’s Army Bible Boot Camp – Day 3
Thursday, July 12, 2018
“Proclaim this among the nations: ‘Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men. Let all the men of war draw near. Let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears; let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ Assemble and come, all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O LORD” (Joel 3:9–11).
By the time one arrives for Boot Camp, they have made up their mind that they may face battle one day and it requires training. Ephesians 6:12 says, “Finally, my brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the WHOLE ARMOUR of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. The Bible does not say we must put on the whole armor so that we can stand against the wiles of men. In fact, beginning in verse 12 we see that our battle is not against flesh and blood…
“but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:12-13). God gives us the Spirit of Truth, not the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).
Everyone who wishes to serve in God’s Army must have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit of God is saying to the churches. It is important that each one of us understand the basics, not only to protect ourselves but to protect others.
What do we need to know as spiritual warriors in God's Army in order to overcome? Please share any scriptures or thoughts that you have. We are here to help one another become an effective spiritual army of God in order to occupy His territory until Jesus returns.
God’s Word is our training manual... The Holy Spirit is our “drill Sargent.” He only wants the best training possible for each one of us.
