Last weekend, I attended my family reunion in Dallas, TX. It was great! It was wonderful spending time with family that I look so much like!
I planned for my trip by working out at the hotel and seeking out healthy food options. I didn’t do too bad, but realized that I could live a little last weekend. Our flight on Sunday was delayed due to the weather. We sit on the plan for 1.5 hours before we could leave the gate. Very tiring!
I’m home and back on track with eating, not so much on exercising. I’m feeling extremely tired and just want to sleep. Also, I have been swamped at work so I’m been coming in early to catch up (instead of hitting the gym). I started a 21-Day Arm Challenge that I have been keeping up with, so all isn’t lost.
I’m so behind on my #100daysofwhy, so I’m catching up now:
Day 79: To feel good having my family see me and the changes I’ve made. Most all of the people that attended, other than my siblings, haven’t seen me since my Dad passed away in March 2017.
Day 80: To truly understand that life is a struggle, not only weight loss, but life in general. I just have to keep at it so I can survive the struggle!
Day 81: To realize that I can “live” and still be healthy!
Day 82: To eat to live, not live to eat!
Day 83: To clean out my closet and have 1-2 sizes in it. I’m getting rid of all my “fat” clothes.
Day 84: To understand that there is no "finish line" on my journey. This is a lifetime commitment!
Day 85: Since there is no finish line, understanding that while I’m not always 100% on track, it’s ok as long and I get back on track and not let things get out of hand.
Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor for my 6 month checkup and I’m going to ask her about taking a good vitamin. I really don’t want to take any more pills, but I need the energy. I also know that I’m probably not getting all the vitamins I need from food since I’ve really cut down on what I eat. I don’t eat dairy at all because I’m lactose intolerant and I just don’t desire milk like I used to. I’m not a fan of Greek yogurt and I don’t eat the regular yogurts due to the high content of sugar.
