If you are not happy with politics, Pray for our National Leaders

Wednesday, July 04, 2018

We believe that the Apostle Paul’s “urging” for us to offer “prayers, petitions, intercession, and thanksgiving for all people: for kings and all those in authority,” is an urging from the heart of God, so that we may lead “quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and holiness” (I Tim 2:1-5).

At this Celebration of our National Holiday, I invite you to join "The Presidential Prayer Team"

They send out an email daily, if you sign up for that. Here is todays:
Today marks the 242nd anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America. God is still at work in the nation and its leaders just as He was centuries ago. He is continuing to shape the nation’s future according to His sovereign will and we have confidence that, through prayer, His will shall be accomplished.

James 5:16 says that the prayers of the righteous are effective and powerful. As we celebrate the 4th of July, join in praying for the president and leaders of the United States and in thanksgiving for the blessings He has poured out. Consider also partnering with the Presidential Prayer Team in its mission to inspire prayer each day for our leaders.

As the Lord Leads, please pray:
For wisdom and guidance for President Trump as he leads the nation into another year of its history.
For insight and unity in Congress as they continue to shape the nation's future.
For discernment and understanding for the many federal and state judges as they interpret the law and rule on many cases, that they would be just and God-honoring in their decisions.
For courage, safety, and blessings on the many men and women who sacrifice daily as members of the military in order to maintain the freedoms that we as Americans enjoy.
