I'm back

Wednesday, July 04, 2018

I had a baby boy in May and I'm ready to get back to exercising.
After a break from SP because of my pregnancy, I'm ready for a change again.
Challenges in front of me?
Finding time to cook and exercise with two kids at home this summer, staying motivated and building consistency despite my lack of sleep.
So, taking it slow, one healthy decision at a time, without expecting perfection.

Exercise plan:
- daily walks
- strength routine 3x a week: squats, plie, deadlifts, lunges, side bends, crunches, butt lifts, leg lifts...

- going back to 3 meals a day plan
- normal portions
- reducing carbs

Welcome back! Love your energy. Wanted to share a YouTuber who has GREAT wisdom on healing the body after birth--things the medical profession often over look--especially at helping moms avoid complications like weak pelvic floor (for future pregnancies, if any) or tummy issues like D.R.

Wonderful to have a new baby. Very reasonable goals. It's got to be possible to eat for vitality and health while raising children. Women have been doing it for generations. They had no belief that they had to eat every time they felt stressed. They did not feel it was any problem to get hungry. It was called working up an appetite. They also did not assume they should overeat just because they got very hungry.

Three meals a day has been the foundation of my loss and maintenance for over eight years. I'm behind you there.

Congratulations on your new baby! Exercise with two little ones can be fun. A lot of your activities can become exercise because you will surely be super active with them. Taking walks, dancing with a fussy baby, and lifting your little ones over your head are just examples. Have fun and take care of yourself too!
