Happy Independence Day!

Wednesday, July 04, 2018

Our city has the largest fireworks display in the state of MIchigan, but for me, it is just another day. I can watch them on TV later or in real time if I wish.
The humidity and heat continue, so for health reasons, I enjoy my A/C.
Buddy treated me to lunch yesterday, then he loaded some logs into his truck that I had the tree guys pile by the shed.
We have only mowed our lawn twice this year, the last time was about five or six weeks ago, it is that dry. The temperature is supposed to drop to 78 degrees on Friday, so we will do the back yard then. The front yard is almost just dirt and straw.
We do want to get the birdbath filled with water, although we are supposed to get thunder storms today and tomorrow. For now, it is sunny, but that changes about every five minutes here near the lake.

Happy 4th! We are hanging out at our cities fireworks tonight and have the DVR set for the New York ones.

Oh, a birdbath would be a lovely gift for the wildlife. What a blessing when it is so dry!

It is still hot an humid here, but there are no warnings today because of that. Happy 4th of July.

My happiest memories of fireworks were watching them on Ludington beach as they shot out over Lake Michigan. Have a great Fourth! Big hugs...

I’m really tired of this heat & humidity. I can’t wait till Friday when it will be in the glorious 70’s!
Where are your fireworks? Have you even ventured down to the Detroit fireworks? emoticon I’ve lived here my whole life & have never gone Down there for them. Rochester Hills has a spectacular fireworks display about 1mile from my house which we catch every year. Stay inside with the A/C. It’s too hot to do anything. Happy 4th!

Hot here also, but at least we have had rain, and we continue to mow at least once a week, or oftener if needed. Hope you have a nice 4th, we also are doing nothing special. But did buy some sweetcorn for a treat from a street corner vendor yesterday when I went over to get the oil changed.

The weather here has been hot and dry also. My town in Maine is a tourist town so we are invaded on the fourth. This is great for the business. But, I will not venture out into the festivities. My sister has invited me to her home for lunch and I am looking forward to that. I is dry here and I will need to water my flowers sometimes today.

    Enjoy your day. emoticon
