Change that Attitude!

Remember what it felt like when all your clothes were tight and it felt miserable just to wear them? And how every time you ate something "unhealthy" all you could do was feel guilty? I have to say I much prefer how comfortable I feel in my own skin since I made changes to that!! It feels good to not freak every time I try on a smaller shirt, or my pants aren't in as much danger of ripping at the seams.

Today though, what I am most grateful for is the change in attitude. I still have days where I probably don't eat as healthy as some might swear I should. However, those days aren't as often and it's less stressful when it does happen. And it isn't even about the number on the scale. It's how it feels to be me, to be on a healthier path, and to be changing what I'm doing because I like feeling healthy.

I like being able to take a 45 minute walk without worrying I'm gonna stroke out or have a heart attack. I like being able to wear smaller t-shirts. I like being able to wear skinny leggings without feeling like I am ginormous in them. I like that my kid sees me living a healthier life. She may not do it with me yet, but she sees what the results are! I like that how I feel about myself is not ugly, as it once was. I like who I am today, and I like who I am becoming.

Today I'm grateful for changes. In all the many forms they come in.
