Saturday morning

Saturday, June 30, 2018

I was up at dawn to get outside and roundup the yard. The humidity is about 89%, the temperature is 90F. At 7:30 a.m.
I sprayed about 3/4 of what I wanted to do, but have about another 500 feet left to do for the first spraying. I bought a gallon bottle already mixed, then another product concentrated for a refill on this jug-o-spray. By the time I got back inside, I was having an asthma attack, was so weak and tired that I could not even hold a glass of tea. It took me over an hour to cool down, use my inhaler, and get the strength to sit up and get in the shower. I feel better now, but I will not tackle the rest of the trees/weeds until after the thunderstorms we have coming tomorrow.

The chemicals have a 15 minute rain assurance, so I got some of the yard finished for now.

I have no plans to do anything but indoor things today.

Our big fireworks festival is next week, the big fireworks on July 7. The city will be packed with about 250,000 people for the next week, as they have carnival rides, contests, the river is packed with boats, and usually at least one of the Tall Ships.
Last year I had an appointment with Dr. Hunky(orthopod) during the festival.. It took me ten minutes to cross the bridge because the rubber-neckers would stop on it to look over the festival and the river.
I NEVER travel on any holiday-weekend, for any reason, not even a funeral. I am paranoid about it, as I have had many friends and relatives die in accidents during those times. One of my two paranoias.

You have to be really carefull out there with asthma, I know, it sneak up and bites you when ever it wants. The other day just walk down to the end of the driveway to the mailbox it about got me. I did the same, came in grabbed the inhaler and just sat for awhile. This humidity is horrible.

Oh my! It was too hot & humid already at that time for you to be out. I know that feeling you had when you came in as I have been there many times lately. Take care in this heat and be sure to stay hydrated.

We have high humidity too. The temperature and the humidity are both in the high 90s. Sorry to hear about your asthma attack and I glad you're feeling better.

Roundup is really frowned upon here, so I've stopped using it. I miss its effectiveness, although it's bad for the environment and for us too. I hope you're being careful!

Our fireworks are tonight. The parade is this morning, so we can't do our shopping until mid-afternoon. It will be crazy downtown (and we have a tiny town of just 14,000 people).

Have a SAFE and enjoyable weekend!

I have seen ads for class-action law suits against Round-Up. It said that people got non-Hodgkin lymphoma from using it.

I don't blame you for being paranoid. I notice that at many air shows, there are plane wrecks, so I don't go to them.
