A Different Church Yesterday & the Week Ahead

Monday, June 25, 2018

I live in a very small town and one of our local churches was getting a new minister. I decided to visit and hear the new pastor. On arriving and greeting many friends and neighbors, I discovered that the new pastor was not due until next Sunday. I enjoyed the service and laughed with my friends about my mistake saying that if I returned next week on the first service of their new pastor, I would be missing two weeks of my own church service and my Bishop would be wondering where I was.

This is the last week before our 5% Challenge begins and my last days to prep and plan. This is also a very busy week for me as I have something to go to every day and a couple of days I have more than one thing. As much as I have talked about the prep and planning in the last week, I haven’t done much toward that end. I have never planned meals ahead of time nor prepped. So, I am awkward, unsure, and really just need to jump in with both feet. I will learn as I go along.

My biggest problem will be keeping motivated after the first three days. Sad, but typical of previous attempts. SUNFLOWERGAL48 said it best. See her post at https://www.sparkpeople.com/my

I find if I don't plan at least a bit, it doesn't work

I changed my tactics on eating. I gave up on trying to prep ahead and just cook at the meal time. Maybe not the best, but less stress.

I've thought of attending a different church occasionally, but have not yet. Maybe it is time?

I think it's nice to attend other services and see what they have to offer.

Planning gets easier with time. Don't expect perfection. Some days will be good and some won't but any planning will always be better than none.

Maybe, don’t think of the big picture, start with cleaning and cutting up veggies, toss them in a bag and you can eat them as they are
chop them up in a salad
sauté them to add to a stir-fry or ?
    Hope I helped! emoticon emoticon

I always say I'm going to do better about planning and getting stuff done ahead of time. However, i never see it through.
