Happy Saturday !!!

Saturday, June 23, 2018

Good morning, Sparkers. I hope you're all having a wonderful day. Mine has gotten off to a good start. I went grocery shopping last night to prepare for the upcoming weekend. I love when Sprouts has their 72 hour sale and I can stock up on healthy yummies!

The photo quality isn't very good because I took it with my tablet but what I got was:

- purple kale (never had it - we'll see how it goes!)
- green onions
- cherries
- grapes
- baby carrots
- cherry tomatoes
- jicama (makes EXCELLENT "fries")
- pears
- red peppers
- cucumber
- celery (I don't like - but I can tolerate it in salads)

I also got (not shown) shrimp, boneless skinless chicken thighs, bananas, pineapple, protein bars, and baby spinach. I've got the salad stuff already prepped up and ready to go.

I got a serious sweat sesh in this morning. The tools of my destruction:

I found some Pinterest workouts (I'm addicted to Pinterest!) to do. I did 12 reps of each:

I added in some of the machines (abduction/adduction, rear/delt fly, ab twist) and then finished up with 50 minutes of cardio while I watched 2.5 episodes of "New Girl" on Netflix.

I am 394 minutes away from reaching my cardio goal (1,000 mins) and when I do I'm getting my hair cut and colored. I was looking through old Facebook photos and I found some I liked. I think I'm going to go above or below the shoulder, I haven't decided yet, but definitely red.

My other goal is to get into this dress I got at a thrift store - I think it was literally $1 - but I love it so much and I can't wait to wear it - but it's a 10P and I'm in about a 14 (I think).

I keep it hanging up in my bedroom at work as a reminder. I think I need to make it my wallpaper on my computer at work, that's where I eat the most junk food and do the least amount of moving.

I also want to wear a T-shirt dress (and not look preggo!) - and jeans - I miss jeans!

Today's mantra - "you decide" - I can be happy and healthy, or I can be angry at myself, disappointed, and stuck in the same rut I've been dealing with for over 10 years now. Today, I decide to make better choices - tomorrow I might eat cupcakes for breakfast, it's actually highly likely since they ALWAYS have treats at church - but not TODAY. Today I worked out & today I feel good about myself and my goals.
