International Yoga Day

Friday, June 22, 2018

This is our assignment for the Aspire and Inspire sparkteam: June 21 is International Yoga Day. Have you ever tried yoga? Which type of yoga do you prefer if you are yogini (a female master yoga practitioner)?

Yes, I have done yoga, and I enjoy it. Yoga has many benefits. I found this list of reasons to do yoga:

I do yoga using YouTube videos. My favorite YouTube channel for yoga is Yoga with Adriene. She has lots and lots of videos. She is knowledgeable, and she explains things very clearly. As a beginner, I am able to follow along with what she is doing. She is also funny. She even has a dog that wanders in sometimes.

My favorite yoga pose is Warrior 2.

If you haven’t tried yoga, you should try it!

I'm just going to start yoga. I have to make some adaptations because of my artificial knees but will do it. Thanks for a good blog.

Great blog and I agree with everything you said. I've done many videos from Yoga with Adrienne and enjoy them. I know I always feel better after doing yoga. I haven't done it in a long time but maybe soon I'll give it a try. emoticon

Great blog.....thanks for all the information. There are so many YouTube exercise wannabes that it's good to have a specific instructor that is recommended. I enjoy yoga until you get down on the knees like the child pose. Tough for me with my knees. It's a harder workout than most people realize, but good for you.
