Getaway Day #8 (well....sort of)
Friday, June 15, 2018
I was all packed up and ready to head back home by about 10:30 a.m. Uneventful trip and velcro boy was waiting for me in the driveway. He went on and on about his current social "problem". I just kept unpacking. Once done I took him to get his hair cut and then we went to the car wash to get all the yellow pollen off the van I'd collected. Things were going fine after Maegann got home (Michael showed up soon after) and then came her counseling appointment. Tim took her, but the fireworks began upon their return. I believe we got things smoothed out and back on track for M&M, but what a mess. I did good though! I held firm to my new goal of not taking on any of the guilt for what happens and I'm okay. So thankful I had time to work through the next section of my bible study during the counseling session.
We took a late outing to Dairy Queen just because we all needed to do something fun together.
Tomorrow Isaac has Patrick and Meg so the afternoon will be free to get my paid work taken care of that collected over my time away. I will also work on the meal plan for the week.
My surprises at the house were to find the front door painted and siding up in place of the old wood "siding". I will have to get a photo to post. It looks so pretty! The fencing was down in the back yard so the whole thing is open again without the "keep the dog in" fence up and then the deck is now completely in place so there isn't a big hole between the existing house and the addition. Again, I will get pictures tomorrow. Oh...and the swing is now hung on the back deck as well. The four of them worked hard while I was gone!
