Time for a reboot!

This is so embarrassing. I know better. I read SBD thinking I was "normal" and could live on that plan. I was doing it, too. But then I had a headache. And then another. Finally one day I looked down at the pistachio nuts I was having for a snack & it hit me...migraine triggers. I stopped having regular migraines over a decade ago when I went through menopause, so that connection didn't dawn on me when I was memorizing the SBD plan. But the cheese, nuts, and other migraine triggers that were interspersed in the food plan were killing me. I was devastated. The plan has so much food that I didn't get hungry. I thought it was smooth sailing. But then came the pain meds and I sure don't want to live like that!

After some comparing I realized that it was time to go back to Fuhrman. I compared Eat to Live with The End of Diabetes, and am starting on the diabetic version. I have to. There are no other healthy options for me. Everyone is different, but I have so many factors to consider. And fat free or not, dairy doesn't agree with me.

The good news is that G told me today that he would find it easier to do Eat to Live if I were doing that basic plan. There will just be some foods we won't include for me. So starting tomorrow I go back to Fuhrman. Today I'm reading the book & making a list of foods to buy tomorrow.

Okay, back to the drawing board. emoticon
