Day 165: Start Your Day Off Positive

Hello my lovely friends!

You all know that for the most part I'm an upbeat and positive person. I try not to let things get me down. It's not always easy, but with some practice and a few tips and tricks you can start your day off on the right foot.

1. Wake up with stretch ~ I use to jump out of bed and start my day like that. I still get out of bed because have to brush my teeth because ain't got time for morning breath. After I do all that I will do some stretches to just wake up my body. I find if I just stretch for about three to five minutes it helps me have a more productive morning. I find that if I don't stretch first thing I'm dragging in the morning.

2. Swap out the coffee for some green tea ~ you know I love my coffee, but your girl here is trying to break the habit. In the morning I get a small mason jar that holds about 1 1/2 cups of water. I will throw in about three to four slices of lemon, a tablespoon of honey fill it up with hot water and throw in a green tea bag. That's my morning hot drink because for some reason I just need to have something hot in the morning. Sometimes I will have a black tea bag instead because of the whole coffee thing.


3. Silence is golden ~ We are so glued to our noise the phone, TV, and radio. I like having nothing on in the house until at least an hour or two after I get up. I really like having the whole house silent especially if it's just me here. I'll clean up the kitchen and figure out what to make for dinner. There's just something about the quietness in the house that I love especially when I have the windows open and you hear the birds and all that good stuff.


4. Read something positive ~ some people read the bible or some quotes to start their day off positive. Me? I grab my "Simple Abundance" and "Younger by the Day" books. I like these because they have daily things to do. Sometimes it something for you to do that day or it's something to think about. I will sit down for about ten to fifteen minutes read the daily thing and sometimes will write about it in my journal.


This will take me about an hour or an hour to do. It can seem like a lot, but once you get into a groove with it it really goes by fast. There are days when I'm running errands and I like to get out in the morning as soon as I can. I will do my stretching, hot lemon water and read my daily lessons no matter what. I will usually write about the lessons later on in the day though.

These are just a few positive things that can get you in a positive frame of mind for your day. Let me know what you do to start your day off right.
