Well, welcome my 65th year with an night of no sleep. I went to bed about 12:30 and woke up at 3:30 and never fell back to sleep. It was too hot to cut the grass so I stayed indoors with the dogs. I tried doing some exercises to get ready for the therapy next week. Then this afternoon my son called and cancelled the weekend. He has had a stomach virus or something since Tuesday, and last night Emerson started with it and was running a 103 fever today. He said that Emerson is not fun when he is sick and I told him I didn't think any 3 year old is. When Marg got home, I gave her the bad news. She is still going to take her vacation off. So she will have a 5 day weekend! Then we met up with our friends for dinner at LaCasona. I had Margaret take some pictures. They put a sombrero on my head, and I for the life of me can't figure how they wear something that heavy. The picture is not great since the lighting wasn't too great.
My friend told me that I had to wear a flag shirt since it was flag day, and then she bought a necklace with red, white and blue stars that lit up. I know I looked dorky but I have to admit the margarita tasted fine. But since I don't drink, it hit me. Then the thunderstorms rolled in. We got some much needed rain. The temps dropped from 94 to 72 in 30 minutes. I didn't do too much today. Oh, I woke up with my knees feeling good, until I lost my balance on a step stool changing a light bulb and jammed my bad knee! Oh well, I guess the older I get the clumsier I am. Well I am going to wrap this up and will watch a little television with Margaret and I will hit the sack early and hopefully catch up with my sleep. Will have a quiet Father's day weekend since we are staying home. No plans, but relaxation and maybe a little yard work early in the morning. Since it is supposed to be in the upper 90's all weekend. They called a heat alert for the area today. I guess I have been here on SP for a long time I noticed that I have 500,000 SparkPoints!
