Those Two Laps Around the Track

My daughter and I started some healthier living this past week. I mentioned how we were going to get up early and jog a lap around the track, then she said no, two laps! So I said that’s great and set my alarm for 5 a.m.
Not sure what happened but my alarm may have sounded or it may have not cuz the next thing I knew it was way after 5! Like a couple hours!
We got up got ready and left for the track. It was super windy and chilly and I had regrets before even starting. I jogged for the first time in I don’t know how long and I’m not gonna lie...it felt as though my bladder would fall out onto the track.
It had just been so long since I’ve done that around a track. I kept a steady pace while my daughter who is 7 ran past me then was behind me off and on.
So then at one moment when she was behind me she says loudly...your butt is like going do do do do do like up and down all over.
Cracked me up so bad laughing I must say it made for a great time! In the end it took us 6.5 minutes for two laps which isn’t great but we did it! Will keep on it and see how we do by the end of the summer.
