June 14, 2018 CHOOSE INTEGRITY
When asking others to define integrity, we would get a variety of replies. Some may say integrity is doing the right thing when no one is watching. Others may say integrity is following through with what we say we will do. God tells us when we are honest and fair and follow His word and direction, we will have integrity. When we do what we are supposed to do, others will know we are people who stand by our word and follow God’s will. We will gain trust with others and people will know we are women and men of God.
Isaiah 33:15-16 “Those who are honest and fair, who refuse to profit by fraud, who stay far away from bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong—these are the ones who will dwell on high. The rocks of the mountains will be their fortress. Food will be supplied to them, and they will have water in abundance.” (NLT)
1. Write how you practice integrity.
2. List how you make decisions to be a person of integrity.
3. Know God wants you to follow His word.
4. Seek God’s way and His strength to live a life of integrity.
Dear Lord, we pray You will help us to learn more about what integrity means to You. We know You tell us to be honest and fair. We know You tell us to stay away from bribes and doing wrong. Help us to remember to do Your will and stay in Your word so we can be women and men of integrity. We want to do Your will so we can gain the trust of others which will lead to opportunities to share Your word with them. Thank You, Lord, for Your word and Your direction. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we practice integrity according to God’s word, He will help us live a life of joy.
Psalm 119:1 “Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.” (NLT)
We are called to live with integrity as children of God because we are to be godly examples to others.
If we think about how Jesus lived on this earth, we will have a great example to follow in living a life of integrity.
We are protected by God when we choose integrity over dishonesty and wrongdoing.
Proverbs 10:9 “People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed.” (NLT)
