Whole30, day 1

Wasn't ths supposed to be the easy day, the "what's the big deal, I got this" day? I must have missed that part. Ravenous and miserable, all day. The chia porridge for breakfast was a fail - about as filling as air. I'll try it with coconut milk instead of almond tomorrow to see if that helps, since eggs aren't much of an option for me.

I thought all this fat I was eating would keep me full....? So much for that theory. I also had a terrible time when out for my walk today - really hit a wall only about 20 minutes in. Maybe it was due to the warmth.

So not a very auspicious start. I'm projecting getting very tired of chicken and homemade sausage. One day down, and going to bed hungry.

    Thanks @Meadsbay. I googled and learned a lot before I started - I had to just jump in before "analysis paralysis" got any worse! There's all kinds of material on what to expect, and that wasn't the way Day 1 was supposed to be. Beyond the Whole30 thing, I've always understood that adding more fat would keep me fuller. Not sure what gives - maybe it was just one of those "I'm going to be hungry no matter what I do" days.
