Sorrowful News This Evening…

Walk — Boy was it humid ~99% this morning but I went for it (38 minutes/2.2 miles)!
Domestic tasks — I washed dinner and breakfast dishes and made a dent in the laundry pile.
History class & swings at the park — An eighteenth century gentleman showed and told what a militia man of that time wore, had on his person in the way of possessions, and was expected to do in the way of duty. Guns were fired, too. Played on the playground with D11 as D14 had walked home after class.
Second walk — D11 and I accompanied a friend from the park to her home and carried her bag as she had both a broken arm and no ride.
Blokus — Played this with the girls and D14 won as expected!
Online crossword puzzles — Did some with the girls. These are so fun and addicting especially with individual insight pulling together…teamwork!
Dinner — I steamed green beans, fixed brown rice, and pan-fried chicken tenders for dinner
Call — My FIL called to say that one of my husband’s brothers passed away this afternoon.
Pray for us as the stress level here is high. My husband was in the middle of writing up a freelance proposal when he received the call. We truly need the work to make ends meet. Also my son is moving this weekend from his apartment to a new one. He is a grad student who lives out of state and has no car. We still plan to move him but don’t know the funeral arrangements yet. One of our daughters is in yet another state working for the summer at a college job and we will probably want to travel to pick her up as well. I know it will all work out but it seems impossible right now.
Grace is greater! Kohl
