Today Is A Strength Training,Day

I've been looking at gyms in my area that offer the Silver Sneakers classes. I found one that has those classes and also offers water classes. I want to look at one other gym before I make my final decision. So, I ran into a friend this morning and I asked her which gym she uses. It was the same gym I looked at on Thursday. Interesting. She said it is a pretty good gym. It looked like complete chaos to me, with all of the kids' summer camps hanging out at the entryway. My old gym had a totally different setup and the kids were in a whole different portion of the building away from the entryway. I was put off by that but it may warrant another look. After I look at the second gym. I should be able to tell which one is the best fit.
The plan is for me to do classes on land and in water and do additional strength training at home. If my body allows, I will also plan on continuing my walks around the neighborhood. My legs and arms really need the more intensive training until they reach a normal strength level. The trick is to not hurt myself in the process. So, I will stick with the exercise schedule that my home physical therapist made for me. I figure it may take 6 months to a year to get there but I'm willing to give it a go! I am also watching what I eat more carefully. I'd like to lose more weight (I've lost twenty in The March - May time period.)
I do well with a schedule, so I will map out something for myself within the next couple of weeks. I must allow time for neck therapy at a new outpatient physical therapy office. I need to get my muscle spasms under control and have my radio frequency ablation on the back of my head to control my migraines. Once that is done I can get in the groove!
