Oh My Aching....

I found a new pain area today while doing this pendulum exercise. When I rolled to the left side I felt pain. Strange when I rolled to the other side I felt the pull but not pain. Anyone know if this is normal? I am just getting back to doing some strength videos and I know I should feel pull on the muscles but not so sure about the difference here.

Not ready to give it up at this point.

    Take that one easy, I have a hard time with it and usually put my hands below either side of my hip so I don't strain my back. Be careful.

    The sore side is usually the weaker side, the opposite of the side you usually carry stuff.

    Maybe some of your muscles are weaker on one side. You should get yourself a foam roller. I have one and use it occasionally. It really helps to loosen up the muscles and even though it feels kind of painful at first, you really feel great when your done. Good for you for getting your exercises done!!!

    I have definately felt this. Just this past Friday in fact during a strength training session. Not doing that exercise you were doing but the one-side-only pain thing. This is why we do a lot of unilateral exercises. It's an imbalance in my case, some muscles are stronger on one side than the other. Not freakishly so, and usually it doesn't show up. Yoga is helping.
    That's my reason anyway.

    I'm really not sure I feel pain doing that one but I have lots of back issues. Hope your feeling better though. I would check with the dr. and if it is painful don't do it. emoticon emoticon
