ok. so now i hit scream weight. there was a reason for it; we just spent two days in seattle, and while i did practice my beck-niques at restaurants, planned what i would eat, ate reasonable portions, there were deserts involved, and plenty of salt i am sure.
but i am home again. and for the first time in a while i have already tracked for the day. now to stick to it.
hike planned for today - 4 miles. then lunch planned - love my instant pot, today it will have a cauliflower leek potato white bean soup waiting for us. dinner planned - mexican quinoa black bean corn skillet with a vegan cheese sauce that is to die for made of carrots and potatoes and nutritional yeast and smoked paprika - i kid you not, completely totally healthy and guilt free, and tastes like you have melted velveta on your nachos.
credit. i looked back again at last month - and although i missed the 15k step goal on 10 days, i actually still made the 15k average for the entire month. credit.
we were in seattle for a special reason - to see off our 41 year old son who has been unemployed for 18 months, arrived in seattle 12 months ago nearly to the day, took a 6 month computer programming "boot camp" course, and finally, 6 months later, landed a job back in san diego, where his daughter and sort of ex wife live (the sort of ex wife won't divorce him, but lives with a boyfriend - major source of stress for the entire family, she is abusive, and an issue that worries us no end as he is about to start his new job tomorrow because she could, and is already making an effort at, sabotage everything). anyway, we had a good time with him, and took him to the airport on friday, but went on many lovely seattle walks (as in 25,000 steps on friday!). here is a perfect rose we found:
