Enough for now!

Saturday, June 02, 2018

I’m VP of our HOA. A couple up the street were going to get a letter for an overgrown yard but while walking, she mentioned her husband just had foot surgery. “Hold off on her letter,” I said, “my husband and I will do her yard.” Oops. What I meant was beloved would cut the lawn and I would be with him.. He worked all afternoon, I did two passes and was whipped. Heading home, dragging our lawn mower we spied a young couple moving in...with a toddler. “Let me stop and help”, I said. Beloved staggered home and I went in, introduced myself, and for four hours, unpacked moving boxes and put things on shelves. We got her kitchen completed! Beloved came down after four hours, met them both and was pleased to learn the husband also cycles. We finally went home. Moral of the story: we’re too old for all this. It kicked out hineys!

Lol! Maybe it did but the feeling of helping someone else probably overrode the pain.
