Spring 2018 5% Challenge - Blog #4

Wow, we are getting to the end of the challenge. It has been very successful for me and I am down 13 pounds since the start or 6.3% of my original weight. What have I changed? We have been eating predominantly vegan recipes since the beginning of April. Not 100% vegan since we still have a few meals out each week which we eat non-vegan. Also, with the nicer spring weather I have been somewhat more active doing yard work, etc.
I am now near my goal weight. My BMI is now below the overweight level so I now go into weight maintenance. One thing I know I need to do is to go to the gym to do resistance/weight training to maintain muscle mass. This winter and spring we haven't had time or priority to get to the gym so we will need to focus on that soon.
Hope everyone had a good challenge and maybe adopted some new healthy habits.
