Guess it's no secret that I really don't care for the blogging aspect of the 5% challenge. In fact, I often don't do it, but I feel an obligation to my team (the Spirited Underdogs) to earn our points. Apparently something I said in yesterday's blog appealed to a few people, as I had lots of terrific feedback. It was the part about a food being so good it was "to die for." I chose not to die for a Red Lobster biscuit yesterday.
The thing is, even though this isn't the most fun I've ever had (I don't like to do crafts either, but give me a book to read and I'm happy as a bug in a rug), it has been fun reading the feedback/comments. In fact, the comments made me realize that it's the little things that keep us going and mean the most when we're slogging our way through this ongoing journey called weight loss. Thank you for the lessons I'm learning each and every day!
If you're interested in checking out the Summer 5% Challenge, click on the link below and see if it might fit for you. Yes, the "ultimate" goal is to lose 5% of your weight. I don't think I ever have in the many challenges I've participated in. But, I am losing something...a little bit at a time! I can't do as much exercise as some of my kennelmates are able to do, but I am doing something. I don't like all the LTGL (living the good life) challenges, but I am doing them (this blog is an example--thank goodness it changes up each and every week and each challenge, and we don't always have to blog!!). It's a great way to get more active, meet new people, get and give support to one another, and to stay focused on what this is all about: LIVING THE GOOD LIFE!
