Two years ago, I lost 35 pounds by using the SparkPeople features and logging my food and exercise. I was making healthier choices and joined an aqua fit class at our local community center. I am not sure why my motivation slacked off, but I stopped making healthy choices and started becoming a couch potato (the wrong kind of vegetable). I have gained 18 if the 35 pounds back. I know part of the problem has been a stressful work environment and emotional/stress eating coupled with a sedentary lifestyle are all to blame. Starting today, I have to put myself first again. I have set some new goals to get started. I want to have a positive outlook, feel better, have more energy, and be able to get off the floor unassisted (some of you know what I mean. They put the anti-aging stuff on the bottom shelf. Then you squat down to look at it and have to wait for your spouse to give you a hand to get back up so that you don’t pull the shelf over trying it on your own). Here’s to a productive summer!

    Welcome back to SparkPeople. We are all here for the same reason, no matter what our personal story is. We are here to help each other to get to that healthy point we want to be in our lives. It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it.
