Two years ago, I lost 35 pounds by using the SparkPeople features and logging my food and exercise. I was making healthier choices and joined an aqua fit class at our local community center. I am not sure why my motivation slacked off, but I stopped making healthy choices and started becoming a couch potato (the wrong kind of vegetable). I have gained 18 if the 35 pounds back. I know part of the problem has been a stressful work environment and emotional/stress eating coupled with a sedentary lifestyle are all to blame.
Starting today, I have to put myself first again. I have set some new goals to get started. I want to have a positive outlook, feel better, have more energy, and be able to get off the floor unassisted (some of you know what I mean. They put the anti-aging stuff on the bottom shelf. Then you squat down to look at it and have to wait for your spouse to give you a hand to get back up so that you don’t pull the shelf over trying it on your own).
