Changing my life with food... 5.24.2018

Thursday, May 24, 2018

I have come to the conclusion that food is the cure to illness and can be turned around with food. I have been told my whole life that fat is bad,but no one ever explain that there was good fat and bad fat.I was told fat is fat and avoid it,but was told fat free get something fat free and those words mean is high sugar content, same goes with gluten free foods. Did you know that you need healthy fats for the brain, cause I did not no one even menchened that to me in my life and it is what helps you to have much more function. On the bottom of the food pyramid is grains and they make it seem like that is the main thing for our bodies to thrive, but in fact it does the total opposite! We were made to eat fruits, vegetables, and meat, and nuts. Still food industry still says that carbs need to be more,it is sad to see that they are miss informing the world. Now mind you carbs out body needs, but more so from the vegetables we eat or fruits there is no need for grains. I have decided that I am going to heal myself with the foods. I want to eat to sustain life and not out of comfort. I also going to do this with my autistic son as well and see if this does not alivate some of the problems he is going through. It is sad that the answer to what ales me is food, even whenwas i thought i was eatting healthy i was doing more harm then good. Wish doctors would have told me this 2 years back.

Have you read Michael Pollans eaters manifesto and maybe some of the works by Gary taubes or Nina teicholz... last two are low carbist, but they all explain the history of nutritional wisdom and where it went wrong. Good luck!
