How Does Spending Time Outdoors Benefit us?

This week for the Aspire to Inspire team our blog assignment is: How does spending time outdoors benefit you?
Spending time outdoors, hiking in the forests or mountains and even just being outside has been said to have many health benefits. For me I have found the following to be true.
1. Enjoying time outdoors helps eliminate fatigue. I can be feeling exhausted and ready for a nap, but when I go outside for just a short time, I am rejuvenated and don’t feel the need for a nap.
2. Being outside, especially during the warm summer months, tends be help me when I am feeling depressed. I am not sure if it is the extra Vitamin D or some other reason.
3. Being in nature also reduces stress; after all, who could be stressed when they are in awe of the beauty of nature.
I have also read of other health benefits from being in nature, such as improving short-term memory, reducing inflammation, lowering blood pressure, and inproving your ability to focus,
