Spark Coach wants me to "be honest with myself about my current exercise regimen."

OK. Honest answer: "What regimen?"

I take that back: I played laser tag with coworkers last week (which resulted in disappointingly few "steps" but the burn in my thighs belied the notion that it was effortless, and the number on the scales over the last few days concurred), did a bit of gardening (not much, but enough to feel it), and got in a bit of walking, even if I felt like it "wasn't enough."

Definitely NOT "overdoing it." And sure enough, my plateau seems to be busted. My goal right now is to stay active and find opportunities and times during the work day to get in a walk or a workout. But also, to get back on track and lose the 18 lbs. remaining of what I put BACK on since last year, so I can finish out my original goal.

To that end, it helps immensely that my husband is now actively competing with me - or at least eating healthier, smaller portions. I struggle not to eat what everyone else is eating, especially on nights when HE has gone to the trouble of preparing a nice meal (which, in our household, is every other night). Lately, instead of the weekly 12 oz. sirloins, he's been preparing a feast of veggies! This is good.

For most of our married lives, I've outweighed him ever so slightly. Yesterday, we were within a pound of one another. Today - I'm winning. Slightly. :D Now, to catch up to my son...
