I had plans to clean my windows today, but it is so dark and rainy, I need lights to navigate, so cannot even see dirt on them. Another day will get them cleaned and sparkly.
I can always find things to do.
Last week DD went shopping with me at Toys r Us, so I found Christmas gifts for Connie's twin boys and their sister Lauren. I am all finished with Christmas shopping except DD. She is easy to buy for, gift cards and little stocking stuffers. She loves them.
I hope my friendship with Troy and Connie holds out after she sees these gifts. I got Connor a kit to assemble that has a 2-liter pop bottle filled with water to power it; Jack will get another experiment kit. Lauren is getting a huge box of craft beads and a LOT of supplies to make her own necklaces, bracelets, etc. She turned 11 years old on April 15, is very mature for her age, so I know she will keep everything organized. The boys can use their assembled kits on the driveway or on their huge deck. They are all in 4-H, and Lauren is a girl scout.
A couple years ago I gave Connor a set of acoustic drums, and Jack an ant farm. I thought Connie was going to give me a swirly when I told her.
They must have forgiven me, because they begged me to stay longer with them last summer.
I babysat, made three home-cooked meals every day for them, took care of Lily, who was dying at the time(their dear Westie)
This summer we will make a day-trip to Munising to deliver the Christmas gifts and I will not tell Connie what they are until we are backing out of their driveway! Chicken, yes!
