Friday, May 18, 2018

I'm really finding it difficult to b enthusiastic in this program. 1000-1300 cals plus 1 hour workout daily...scale has not budged in 1 month. Cant really tell difference in clothing fit. Doing things right but must b something wrong. Maybe trying to lose at 62 is not in the cards for me. And so I cry...

I am 61. I hear you. .. It’s frustrating. But perhaps you like to buy Omron body fat measurement device. You mass is shifting back and fort and muscles weigh more than fat. If you measure body fat - you will see a difference! Don’t cry, pls smile.

Just stick with it. It will get better. I find when I diet, my body losses the first week, gains it all back the second week, stays steady for about a month, and then begins to slowly decline. It's like it's confused.

Losing weight is made up of slow, steady and reasonable lifestyle changes. These changes and setting one's environment up for success is essential. Dr. Doug Lisle has interesting talks on the psychology of losing weight on youtube. Best wishes.

Don't feel bad. I'm doing the same. Weight stays about the same or more. No difference in fit of clothes. What I might lose one day returns with a vengence in a day or 2. All we can do is keep trying. If we don't nothing will change.
