I had a GREAT day today. I planned my meals and snacks in advance and followed through on the plan. I exercised 27 minutes which is a new record for me. Progress comes in baby steps. When I started I couldn't do five minutes without gasping for breath. Now I'm going to purchase a cheaper version of a fitness tracker and some smaller weights. Woo hoo! I'm taking care of me the best way I know how.
Today's 100 Days Challenge, Day 74 - See any rainbows today? was about looking for the positives when days seem to be going wrong. A month or so ago we had a windstorm that took some of the tiles off our roof and it was an expense we hadn't planned on. Today while I was getting ready for a short nap, the wind picked up and made almost the same sound as when we lost the tiles. The key word is ALMOST. I'm really grateful that we didn't lose any more tiles and I'm grateful our Miss Jasmine settled down after being startled by the noise. The rainbow I found was I could HEAR the wind blowing. I'm grateful I can still hear.
Today I soaked my feet and had Hubby spray on some BioFreeze afterward. Sometimes the pain in my left foot is nearly unbearable. The good thing (rainbow) is the BioFreeze helps temporarily at least. Yay! Happy toes!
Dinner was a delicious meal of lean pork chops, pan fried potatoes in extra virgin olive oil with sea salt and spinach with butter. What a delicious meal. Later I'm having a protein shake with wheat germ added. That's one of my favorite treats. Yummy! And my body thanks me.
Tomorrow is weigh day and I am anxiety free. I'm actually looking forward to the results on the scale because my arms are stronger (smaller) and my tummy is flatter. Should the results be displeasing, I'll find a rainbow somewhere.
I hope you had a terrific Thursday. Spark on!

Love this blog, you are doing such a great job now and are so enthusiastic about your journey it leaps off the page. Like you I could barely do 10 mins of exercise and now I barely sit still for 10 mins 210 days ago
Wheat germ! It's been years since I've even thought about it, and I used to love it. My mother always had a jar of it in the refrigerator and I remember her sprinkling it on fruit and cottage cheese and adding it to cereal and muffin batter. Adding it to protein shakes is a great idea. It's going on my shopping list -- thank you. 211 days ago
We had a very busy day and this evening hubby asked me if I wanted to go for a walk. I was dressed to the shoes and went. Getting some exercise in, even though I was tired, topped off my day. It has been stormy here since Saturday a week ago and there are flash flood warnings for many areas. No rainbows in the sky, but no tornadoes either and that's a good thing. 211 days ago
